As an Account Executive, you will identify and acquire new clients who want to raise the bar on their creative communications and live events as well as develop and grow existing accounts which range from $300K to 2.5+mm annually.   Your focus will be Meetings, Conventions, Trade Shows and Product Launch specifically for Launch Meetings & Training Communication Programs, Sales Training, National Sales Meetings and Investor Meetings.  Your sales prowess will shine as you maintain a consultative relationship with clients through the understanding of industry and specific organizational communication and marketing challenges.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop target list through prospecting
  • Understand business objectives, challenges and opportunities of target clients
  • Customize agency credentials to reflect specific client challenges/opportunities
  • Secure face to face meetings to present credentials and explore client needs
  • Develop and expand relationships with existing clients in order to grow account
  • Collaborate with management, creative and production to develop ideas
  • Secure input session and follow up meetings with the client
  • Collaborate with the Producer, Creative Director and/or Training Strategist
  • Create approach and pitch

REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive sales experience within an agency environment
  • Exceptional pre-existing client relationships
  • A strong passion and natural flair for sales including developing and maintaining relationships with a range of existing and prospective clients
  • Outstanding presentation skills with a natural ability to talk confidently to large-scale events, experiential and marketing campaigns
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong cold-calling and negotiation skills
  • A deep understanding of marketing principles
  • Excellent business sense
  • A pro-active attitude, regularly demonstrating initiative
  • Proven skills in identifying customer needs and challenges and addressing these in a clear and timely manner
  • A proven track-record of closing sales

Location: New York
Salary: $80K-$120K + Commission
