Our California based client prides themselves on the custom designs, manufacturing, and engineering they provide to their clients. They have extended their growth into the international market and are seeking a Project Manager.

Our client is seeking a Project Manager to assist Operations and Production in their Southern California facility. The Project Manager will oversee aspects of event and trade show projects, ensuring successful execution from conception to completion.


  • Lead the planning and execution of fabrication of trade show and events projects.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external and contractors to ensure all project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
  • Review all timelines and project plans; communicate action items to all stakeholders and monitor adherence to deadlines.
  • Input all project details in Smartsheets to manage all vendors and deadlines.
  • Negotiate & coordinate with third party resources for fabrication related items.
  • Manage resources; identify, negotiate, and book external resources as needed.
  • Overall management of information to internal production departments as needed through kick-off and status meetings.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns and inquiries.
  • Close out each project and invoice to client.
  • Work with internal clients on new builds, large activations or specialty project budgets.
  • Review internal budgets for new clients/ RFPs (new builds).
  • Create, maintain, reconcile & project budgets
  • Provide timely & accurate financial information to finance team
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams effectively, leveraging individual strengths to achieve collective goals.
  • Partner with the shop lead to ensure all client needs are met.


  • 5+ years Project management experience in the exhibit/events industry
  • Fabrication background with knowledge of drawings, materials and supplies, field measurements and estimating skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale trade show projects form conception to completion.
  • Demonstrated Project Management competencies: client focus, developing others, accountability for results, attention to detail, flexibility, and team effectiveness.
  • Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency
  • Flexibility to travel as needed to onsite project management and client meetings.
  • Outstanding organizational ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary: Base Salary (DoE)
