Senior Project Manager, Exhibits, Chicago

Our client is a full-service trade show and event marketing firm that specializes in design, management and delivery of memorable trade show exhibits, live events, and experiences.  They deliver highly effective solutions for ranging from large corporations to small businesses.  With global facilities and a specialized team they are dedicated to delivering unique design solutions and professional service worldwide.

They are currently seeking a Project Manager to join their team in Chicago. The Project Manager manages each project through its entire lifecycle ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and meets/exceeds client expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead projects from design handoff to delivery
• Assist in project kick of meetings in conjunction
• Review all timelines and project plans; communicate action items to all stakeholders and monitor adherence to deadlines
• Take responsibility that client deliverables & deadlines are met
• Negotiate & coordinate with third party resources for fabrication related items
• Create and maintain project files
• Manage resources; identify, negotiate and book external resources as needed
• Overall management of information to internal production departments as needed through kick-off and status meetings
• Create client fabrication budgets for programs as assigned
• Create, maintain, reconcile & project budgets
• Provide timely & accurate financial information to finance team
• Partner with the shop lead to ensure all client needs are met

REQUIREMENTS

• Project management experience in exhibits, museum, and retail and/or specialty construction/fabrication
• Construction background with knowledge of construction drawings, materials and supplies, field measurements and estimating skills
• Strong Mathematical skills
• Demonstrated Project Management competencies: client focus, developing others, accountability for results, attention to detail, flexibility and team effectiveness
• Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency
• Outstanding organizational ability
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
