Creative Director, Events, New York




Our client builds experiences for corporations of all sizes. They have honed their expertise to become an a leader in providing integrated design structural and event design solutions. Due to growth they are seeking a Creative Director to join their team. The Creative Director oversees multiple projects through execution and all creative operations for a specific group of accounts. The Creative director also directs the creative staff's activities to maintain agency standards of creative excellence, timeliness, and profitability while delivering to client expectations.

Requirements/Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver thought leadership and creative solutions that strengthen client's market distinction
  • Articulating and defending conceptual and directional choices
  • Promote continual creative improvement and actively contribute to a culture of innovation, excellence and accountability
  • Ensure timely development and execution of plans, campaigns, and projects to assure earnings, growth, and profit goals are met
  • Plan, develop, and defend budget recommendations, work goals, measurements, and training requirements necessary to provide profitable and quality service to clients
  • Provide detailed information and cost estimates to assure accurate data on which to plan and develop functional objectives and budgets leading to stable and profitable accounts
  • Provide leadership/motivation and convey the vision and values of the agency to staff
  • Oversee creative consultations with Business Service teams to assure appropriate creative strategies, adequacy/accuracy of input, schedules, budgets, production support, necessary reviews, and client presentations
  • Train and supervise assigned staff of junior creatives and strategists; oversee their execution of all creative efforts to ensure they are aligned with strategy, on budget, and on schedule
  • Maintain external professional relationships to assure the ongoing availability of specialized expertise, gifted freelancers, and reputable studios/producers when their services are required
  • Participate in the new business efforts (and lead the creative teams new business efforts)
  • Recommend staffing and compensation changes
  • Makes certain staff adheres to established agency policy/procedures

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in relevant field
  • 8+ years experience in a creative leadership role (minimum 3 years in an agency environment
  • Strong working knowledge of interactive design, user-centered experience design, brand development, digital marketing, and the creative process
  • Proven ability to provide clear creative direction and provide timely, helpful feedback to improve creative processes to keep work on schedule and within budget

Location: New York

Salary: $125K-$200K
