Our client is seeking an experienced CAD Detailer for their production team. This position supports the design, development, and fabrication of tradeshow and exhibit projects, ranging from basic cabinetry components to complex structures. The successful candidate will be expected to proficiently produce CAD drawings on numerous projects as well as be knowledgeable in multiple cross platform drawing programs



  • Prepare CAD drawings based on customer and/or sales specifications and project estimates; determine scale and perform mathematical calculations
  • Complete software programming for each job to ensure that the exact design is cut to the shape desired
  • Specifying material, hardware, electrical/lighting specifications and building techniques
  • Maintain materials records
  • Project data input and progress tracking
  • Determine scale and perform necessary mathematical calculations
  • Print either full-size patterns or scaled drawings for construction
  • Operate efficiently under time constraints and meets deadlines
  • Clearly communicate design intent onto drawings
  • Work with minimal supervision, both alone and in teams
  • Demonstrate knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Utilize effective communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams
  • Demonstrating excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency with the latest versions of AutoCAD
  • Prioritize workload and communicate issues to ensure on time completion of jobs



  • Trade School or an Associate Degree in related field required, BS in Engineering or Technology preferred
  • 3-10+ years of professional AutoCAD experience using recent releases and producing 2D and 3D shop drawings
  • Demonstrated drafting knowledge/skills
  • Engineering and efficient building techniques
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Experience in high quality exhibit fabrication, architectural millwork, graphics and cabinetry build-out
  • Proficiency in developing shop drawings and detailed setup drawings
  • Attention to accuracy and detail
  • Ability to value engineer, perform self-directed product research and propose different methods of construction while meeting design intent and budget/time restrictions
  • Must be a great communicator, driven and committed

Location: Dallas

Salary: $65K-$80K (DOE)
