Production Supervisor, Exhibits, Dallas




Our client is a global design and fabrication company, providing turnkey solutions for events, exhibits, and environments. They partner with National Brands, Industry B2B Suppliers, Marketing + Advertising Agencies, and more. They are seeking a Production Supervisor for trade show and environmental exhibit fabrication in their Dallas facility.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for working with other Production Supervisors and the Production Manager to oversee the activities of the production team that is tasked with pulling inventory, assembling, adjusting fit and finish, fabricating with use of power tools, labeling, disassembling, packaging, return inspecting, putting away and quality control of exhibits while maintaining a safe and positive environment. supervisors to lead the team with a positive approach, providing guidance and sound decision making, implementing appropriate safety training and procedures, scheduling of staff and equipment, identify and implement new production methods as needed to improve efficiency and quality, train staff on necessary processes and methods to accomplish the duties of the team while always maintaining quality, timeliness and a positive culture.

Requirements/Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Directly manage personnel
  • Train and assist in personnel development (technical and administrative tasks)
  • Prioritize staff workloads
  • Meet with staff daily to outline work plans and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority on various projects
  • Pull inventory and putting away inventory, constant improvement of storage of inventory to keep up with current demands
  • Assemble, adjust fit and finish labeling of exhibits
  • Document changes to setup instructions, or labeling
  • Photographing exhibits for quality control
  • Perform and supervise installation and dismantle at local venues
  • Travel to remote venues for duration of tradeshow to supervise installation and dismantle of exhibits and provide onsite customer service during show hours
  • Working knowledge of all related production departments
  • Review and distribute all fabrication production documents
  • Price and estimate costs for sales team as required
  • Plan and cost projects
  • Plant and equipment maintenance
  • Check all job sites for work quality, efficiency, cleanliness, and safety
  • Examine, maintain, and improve direct and indirect costs
  • Capture and record accurate manufacturing data (labor, materials,etc.)
  • Coordinate/Manage warehouse logistics (shipping & receiving)
  • Create and follow-up on meeting agendas to ensure effective communication of timelines, deadlines, deliverables, and changes

 

Requirements:

  • Exhibit or live events manufacturing/production experience
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • BS/BA business or relevant degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of exhibit operations and procedures
  • Travel as needed
  • Excellent time management, project management, leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
  • PC Skills with proficiency level experience using MS Outlook, MS Excel ,MS Word and MS Dynamics NAV
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed shop drawings and blueprints
  • High level knowledge of wood and metal manufacturing/fabrication
  • Working under tight and changing deadlines

 

Location: Dallas

Salary: $60K-$65K+ DOE
