Sales Manager, Exhibits, Dallas

Our client is a market leader in the trade show and event marketing industry. They offer trade show exhibits to match any size and budget, ranging from portable displays to large-scale island exhibits. They are seeking a driven B-2-B consultative sales professional to join their team. The position revolves around uncovering the exhibit needs of potential clients/prospects, and providing suitable solutions. The Account Executive is responsible for helping clients drive incremental top line revenue for their organizations by increasing their marketing presence at trade shows and special events. The sales team flourishes in a creative, fun, hard-working, lucrative atmosphere.

They are looking for the experiential marketing industry's top talent to oversee the growth of sales and to manage account services. The ideal fit will be experienced and have demonstrable success in nurturing the development of new business opportunities while providing strategic guidance to s sales team in collaboration with the organization's executive leadership.



  • Implement and execute the goals set by Executive Management
  • Contribute sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews
  • Prepare annual business plan and quarterly action plans
  • Identify sales opportunities by defining customer requirements, target market, strategic partnerships and competitor’s’ strengths and weaknesses
  • Sustain rapport and business with key accounts by making periodic visits, exploring specific needs and anticipating new opportunities
  • Protect organization’s value by keeping both company and client information confidential
  • Main point of contact for resolving sales department and process improvement issues
  • Main point of contact for resolving inter-departmental issues affecting the sales team
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix and profit margins by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors
  • Maintain an accurate sales forecasting process
  • Uphold and promote the Sales Discovery process and scoring of Design Qualification process
  • Monitor and track the vital statistics of the sales team on a weekly basis (KMF Analysis), such as call volume, appointments, close rate, profit margins, MTD, QTD and YTD sales results



  • Work with new sales people on a daily basis
  • Train and oversee new sales people on cold calling and other lead generation
  • Review and approve AE sales quotes before they go out – maintain margins
  • Assist in client meetings – coach and train sales people on best practices
  • Involve sales people with larger orders to gain experience
  • Provide sales people regularly scheduled oral and written feedback on their performance: one-on-one meetings as needed, including weekly / monthly forecast reviews, quarterly action plans and annual territory plan meetings
  • Lead the weekly sales meeting
  • Keep all sales people motivated, and/or at a minimum work to prevent them from becoming demotivated

Location: Dallas

Salary: $80K-$100K DOE
