Operations Director (Executive Producer), Events, Philadelphia




Our client is a global design and fabrication company, providing turnkey solutions for live events, exhibits. They partner with National Brands in verticals such as Healthcare, Energy, Technology, Luxury, Retail, Financial and much more.

Our client is seeking an Operations Director to lead production, ensuring project delivery meets quality standards. The success candidate will be managing key projects and growing a team of Producers, Project Managers, and junior staff.

  • Event delivery
  • Operational and Team Leadership
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained across all disciplines, including production, technical management, logistics
  • Work closely with the Creative Director to ensure excellent alignment with creative delivery personnel
  • Lead the continual refinement of our individual and company supplier database across the region
  • Coordinate with Departmental Heads and other Senior Production/Operational staff to develop marketing/branding and engagement strategies in order to remain competitive
  • Work with all producers and project managers to ensure margin targets are met whilst maintaining quality standards
  • Provide training and leadership for all new suppliers or relevant staff ensuring smooth integration into the company's operational procedures
  • Work closely with the VP and Client Services staff to grow the business through involvement in pitches and proposal development
  • Develop and maintain a full roster of suppliers across all disciplines
  • Set up regular reviews with key suppliers where appropriate
  • Work with the VP to develop operational systems for ensuring consistent efficient practice and for high quality project delivery
  • Create clear development plans for your team, in conjunction with HR and in line with business and individual needs
  • Be aware of and execute all appropriate legal and compliance related matters regarding project delivery

 

Requirements:

  • 10+ years solid experience as a Live Event Producer
  • Proven experience in Event Production management, across a range of project types, complexities, geographies and client sectors
  • Deep experience of proposal development and pitching
  • Leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Track record of developing excellent relationships with suppliers, staff, and clients
  • Ability to add creativity and leadership to the senior team
  • Demonstrate a positive/can do attitude with clear leadership qualities
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral
  • Proactive, organized and methodical leadership style
  • Ability to lead mentor develop and engage with assigned teams
  • Outstanding customer service skills

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Salary: $120K-$160K
