Estimator Exhibits, Chicago

This client is a full-service trade show exhibit, branded environments and event marketing firm specializing in custom and rental displays. They offer creative solutions encompassing all aspects of their client's exhibiting needs. They are seeking an industry experienced Estimator to provide timely and accurate estimates of exhibit construction, taking into account company production methods and labor and material costs.

Requirements/Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Produce timely and accurate estimates from floor plans, sketches, models, renderings, oral and written descriptions, and other sources of information, breaking down projects into components
• Keep abreast of changes in production methods, material, labor costs, and other standards
• Evaluate feasibility of meeting client requirements
• Observe deadlines
• Understand full project scope based on final sales quotes
• Process original work orders
• Clearly define material and departmental labor costs
• Facilitate and participate in relevant project meetings
• Ensure material and resource availability for project execution
• Monitor all preliminary, construction, setup and as built drawings for accuracy
• Coordinate all drawing changes and project additions/li>
• Prepare mark-ups and specifications to the engineering department
• Communicate project requirements from clients and account management to define specific work requirements

 

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in the trade show Industry, theatrical/entertainment construction and project management
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency including MS Project
• Extensive knowledge and experience of all phases of exhibit design, production, and of prices and standards
• Good communication skills and ability to extract pertinent data from oral and written information as well as standard visual sources
• Strong service orientation and cost consciousness
• Ability to operate under severe time constraints
• Vendor relationship and versatile knowledge of all common exhibit materials

Location: Chicago (NW Suburbs)

Salary: Dependent on Experience
