Warehouse Manager, Exhibits, Chicago

Our client has an immediate opening on their team for an experienced manager to oversee warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and/or experience in the following areas: Event Planning, Event Design, and Trade Show Additionally, the candidate will have a proactive approach to organization and operational systems.


  • Overall operational policy/procedure enforcement
  • Tasks include but are not be limited to, coordinating team labor, value engineering, developing material requirements, and the hiring, training and development of new team members as necessary
  • Ensure that all health and safety initiatives are in compliance with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) requirements
  • Research and implement cost reducing measures for the warehouse
  • Maintain a clean and organized facility at all times
  • Inventory maintenance for all storage including dimensions and weights
  • Maintain the rental department
  • Receive shipments and verify inventory back from job trade shows/job sites inspecting for shortages and damaged equipment
  • Maintaining shipping/receiving log
  • Research and provide recommendations for capital equipment related to operating inventory, and leasehold investment
  • Ordering and scheduling of transportation
  • Negotiations and vendor relationship development/maintenance
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform well under pressure


  • Minimum 3-5 years trade show warehouse experience
  • Proven computer skills (Including Outlook, Excel, Word, Google Docs)
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Valid drivers license with "C" classification
  • Highest degree of honesty, integrity and professionalism
  • Excellent problem solving and mechanical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Experience implementing and maintaining safety initiatives
  • Manages time effectively and adapts quickly to changing priorities
  • Motivated to continuously learn and improve
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills

Location: Chicago

Salary: $50K-$60K DOE
