General Manager, Exhibits, Mid-Atlantic

Our client creates the marketing environments and brand experiences that engage, entertain and educate customers and prospects. They provide the service and support needed to help their clients attract customers and achieve their marketing goals. They are seeking a General Manager for their Maryland facility. The successful General Manager candidate is the senior leader who is accountable for creating and executing strategic direction, managing P&L, building relationships with key stakeholders, and providing solid team leadership.



  • Provide the strategic direction and leadership for the office in alignment with direction from corporate
  • Meeting all established cost, quality and delivery commitments
  • Ensure the unit is working collaboratively as a team to achieve plan objectives and that each function is performing at optimum levels
  • Comprehensive operational reports
  • Generate new business development leads
  • Support sales executive team by attending sales calls as required
  • Recruiting, hiring and coaching new and existing staff
  • Monitor staffing levels in accordance with production needs
  • Balance the need for all full-time, part-time and subcontracted labor
  • Ensure that the work culture and working environment in the organization is conducive to optimum employee productivity
  • Implementing company policies for the employees of the company, as well as for the everyday working of the organization
  • Manage the P&L
  • Identify impacts on P&L and propose solutions for alignment
  • Manage and implement internal workplace safety policies
  • Develop and establish new policies and procedures to enhance safety compliance
  • Facilitate OSHA compliance in all areas of business operations



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration would be an asset
  • Minimum 10 to 15 years of professional experience, five (5) of which ideally is in a service oriented role and/or manufacturing
  • Experience in managing P&L
  • Ability to provide excellent leadership, relationship building and negotiate
  • Able to clearly present information verbally and in writing
  • A proven track record of solid decision making
  • Word processing, Spreadsheets, Internet software, E-mail, Order processing, Database software
  • Ability to travel

Location: Mid-Atlantic

Salary: $100K-$125K
